This
is a virtual tour of the Methodist Church in Scholes village,
near Holmfirth in West Yorkshire. It has been made by the
children in Year 4 at Scholes Junior and Infant School.
They
visited the church as part of their topic on Remembrance.
This
is the entrance to the church, where services are held twice
every Sunday and on Good Friday. The Church was built in 1861
and extended in 1989.
The church members are like a big family: when you are christened
you become part of this family. The congregation has people
from the age of 4 weeks to 92 years old. We
interviewed members of the congregation to find out why the
church is so important to them.
As Christians they believe in God, they respect all of the
gifts He has given them.
